Self-Organized Learning Environment = SOLE
Self-Organized Learning Environments (SOLEs) are created when kids work as a community to answer their own vibrant questions by using the internet.

Children choose their own groups of four and their own questions to explore
Children use one computer only in each group
Children can look to see what other groups are doing and take that information back to their own group
Children can talk with each other and discuss with other groups
Kids can move around freely
Participants have the opportunity to tell their friends what they learned after the SOLE

Australian History: 12th February SOLE activity:
In your groups of 4, work together to answer this question-
What should we know about democracy in Australia?
Send one group member to write any questions that come up during your research or discussions on the large paper out the front.

Timing:
5 mins. = Introductory discussion about the question.
30 mins. = Students work online to write information about the question
10 mins= Children share what they discovered and learnt about Australian Democracy. Any questions are discussed.
